Here are some of the wonderful words of encouragment from people
that have seen Limo and Comet on the trail:

Last week I had the pleasure to spend a week with my son Alright as he was hiking the AT. I spent one night on the trail with him and at mile 666 where we stayed I also met Comet and Chopsticks. It turned into a wonderful week for me!! I not only connected with my son who I had not seen since december but I made two new friends as we spent a lot of the week eating together and sharing life stories. I provided the guys a chance to slack pack, so I only did a couple miles each day as they did over 20 miles every day. However the great pleasure for me was that through the time I spent with the guys I had a chance to experience the AT, its culture, language and nuances while not putting in all the miles each day. I will always cherish that week in VA and the time I spent with Alright, Chopsticks and Comet. It was my great joy to feed them and provide some comfort during the week. But I think I was the one that received the most trail magic because I got to be a part of the AT adventure for a week!! For this I am truly grateful!!!

Thanks you guys!!!

I met Comet at Sarver Hollow shelter at mile 666 on the AT. I hiked in with"Rev. Alright", the father of thru hiker, "Alright". We had planned to spend some time with Alright and be ground crew with him for a few days but "adopted" Comet and Chopsticks, another thru hiker as well, fixing food for grateful stomachs, listening to their tales, and moving gear for them so they could slack pack a couple of days, giving them a well deserved easy hiking. What a fun experience helping these guys on this grand adventure through such beautiful country! What a great opportunity to experience the camaraderie of the AT hikers! And Comet's backpack was lighter than my own weekend pack!

When I asked about how his wife felt about this trip, Comet emphasized the great support that he has from you. That is a wonderful thing you did, encouraging him to do this trip when the opportunity is there! Good luck to Comet on the trail and to you both in your years together. Nice website - I will check back on his progress.

Hi, I met Comet last weekend south of Unka Mountain (near Erwin, TN). He was doing fine and didn’t mind stepping over me as I took a break in the middle of the trail in a beautiful meadow. He gave me the address of the webpage and was very proud that his wife had set it up. The page looks great. Best of luck!

Comet,
It was a pleasure meeting you and Limo at Pecks Corner shelter in the Smokies this week. Hearing about your journey makes me want to get back out on the trail and hike to Maine again. I'll be following your progress on the website to remember all the spectacular places along the way. Keep up the good work.

Hi, I met Comet + Limo on the Appalachian Trail about 1.5 miles before Newfound
Gap in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. They had just passed
Clingmans Dome which is the highest point on the AT.

Both looked great and full of energy.

I sure wish I could accomplish just what they have already done.

Best of Luck,
