Hi there, I am the Chan - trail name, the Comet. I'm hiking the Appalachian Trail. Click around and enjoy.

The Appalachian National Scenic Trail, generally known as the Appalachian Trail or simply The A.T., is a 2174 mile (3,498-km) marked hiking trail in the eastern United States, extending between Springer Mountain in Georgia and Mount Katahdin in Maine. Along the way, the trail also passes through the states of North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont and New Hampshire.


LATEST NEWS:

COMET MILE COUNT: It's official, the Comet has completed the trail! He started hiking at 2 AM and arrived at the summit of Katahdiin to watch the sun rise at 5:15 AM. He wanted to tell everybody hello and he will be updating the site soon with pictures and information. (9.1.07)
